The TR 909 is an iconic drum machine produced in 1983 by the Japanese company Roland.
The synthetic and iconic sound allowed musicians of the period to freely experiment with new rhythms and new patterns heavily used in techno and house music and in an infinite series of subgenres.
Detroit and Chicago were the homelands of these artistic movements which still maintain a focal presence in the clubbing scene today.
